White Stork in Kopachevo Marshes

WHITE STORK (Ciconia Ciconia)
The bird is a regular nest-builder in all the villages surrounding Kopacevo Marshes. Several pairs have tried nesting inside the Marshes. Due to the changes in their habitat where they used to feed, the population of white stork is decreasing. It has been noticed lately that no young are hatching from eggs. That is why there are only a few pairs in some villages instead of dozens. It is a regular migrant; exceptionally, a single bird spends the
winter, mostly in villages with human help.
